My Philosophy

My way of viewing and thinking about the world is influenced by many things including Buddhism, neuroscience, yogic philosophy and positive psychology.

I believe when we can see how things truly are, with as little ego, bias and attachment as possible, we are free to make better decisions and have more control over our life experience.

My coaching business is called Wisdom Energy Coaching because I know we all have deep wisdom already inside of us. Our busy life, stressful world and past experiences all add a lot of noise, and so that wisdom can be difficult to access. Providing a safe space for people to tune in to that wisdom is something I am honored to do.

Wisdom and compassion - the jewels we all seek - are inherently within us all, like pure seeds blossoming and unfolding within our tender unguarded hearts...
— Lama Surya Das, Awakening the Buddha Within

Important Things

I know Black Lives Matter and that BIPOC face a multitude of racist challenges everyday that I, as a white person living in a white supremacist society, do not face. I am committed to my own anti-racist education and continue to see and unlearn my own racist thoughts, words and actions. I commit to speaking up when I see racism, knowing that silence is not acceptable.

I value queer folks and those who identify anywhere on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. I recognize we live in a heteronormative and allonormative culture, which makes discovering and living as you truest self difficult and scary. Identity is fluid, whether it be gender, sexual, romantic or otherwise. I honor all queer identities as true and valid.

The quality of light by which we scrutinize our lives has direct bearing upon the product which we live, and upon the changes which we hope to bring about through those lives. It is within this light that we form those ideas by which we pursue our magic and make it realized.
— Audre Lorde, Poetry Is Not a Luxury
